MMC Engineering Services Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Kolej Komuniti Bandar Penawar (KKBP) has organised a corporate social responsibility (CSR) to refurbish Madrasah Tahfiz Riyadatul Muhsineen (Tahreen), Felda Bukit Aping Timur, Kota Tinggi recently. The program was officiated by the Chairman of the Tafsir Daerah Kota Tinggi, Ustaz Esby Ismali Rifa’i. It was held at Madrasah Tahfiz Riyadatul Muhsineen, Felda Bukit Aping Timur, Kota Tinggi from 15 to 17 December 2015.

In attendance during the event were representatives from MMCES, En Kamaruddin Ninggal, Cik Muniyati Abd Azam and MMCES staff from South Regional Office. Also attend the event was the Director of KKBP, En Nazri Idris, their Management and their lecturers.

The Management of MMCES has also agreed to sponsor the full program at a cost of of RM 18,500.00. The activities involved repair and maintenance works such as painting the building, providing new roof for ablution area, replacing equipment and re-wiring lighting in dorms and servicing the air-conditioners unit.

In addition to that, the students also repair 13 toilet doors, build the staircase hand railings and repair damaged floor & ceiling tiles in study area. They also build the futsal goal post, build the kitchen rack and also change the kitchen cabinet to the new one. More over MMCES also purchase 2 units of 10kg of washing machine and build an overflow pipe at the toilet area.

The objective of Jom Masuk Kampung programme were to strengthen the bond of friendship and fraternity with the community and its residents. Through this thoughtful programme we also show our support to the local community initiatives as well as to share our expertise and experience with the KKBP’s students. For the students, they will gain some knowledge and experience before entering the real work place environment. It also can increase their confident level for them to build themselves as a good employer.

The programme involved 50 participants, including 20 students of Sijil Penyelenggaraan Bangunan (Certificate of Building Maintenance) and the lecturer as well.
